Bearing Torque specs: 1998 Civic EX

I would pull the mains back out and 3 rod bearings. Everytime you install a rod bearing and torque it down make sure the motor still spins till you have all 4 rods torqued. So you can pinpoint where the issue. I'm not sure and someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the rod caps have to go...

D16Y5 Really Doesn't Want To Idle

I've been a tooth off installing my new timing belt. it will still idle but at high rpm with slow response when you hit the throttle. My d16y8 CEL was IACV and misfire on 3 ideal was rough with a 1200 rpm to 2000 rpm loop. Smooth sailing at high speeds. I believe boofoo is leading you in the...

D16Y5 Really Doesn't Want To Idle

You will see a change when you rev the motor. The motor kinda dies out. When you rev the motor now does it rev up pretty decent? Have you checked the fuel injectors? Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk

    O2 Sensor Bypass

I did the spark plug fouler on mine after replacing the O2 sensor and it not fixing the cel. The spark plug fouler did the trick. A catalytic converter was clogged up and I just bang the inside out so it looks like there's a catalytic converter on there however it's a straight pipe Sent from my...

    Engine trouble: 98 civic EX

Those are thrust bearings there is only 2 the one that's still in and the one that fell out. Get a small flat heat and tap one one side if the main bearing you'll see they come out pretty easy Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk

    Engine trouble: 98 civic EX

Once you take off the main bearing housing. You can use a smaller flat head screwdriver on one side of the bearing to spin it around the crank to get them out, YouTube is your best friend here. Do a google search online for toque and pattern specs Sent from my SM-J700P using Tapatalk
