    "Clunk" when engaging transmission.

Before I purchase a new intermediate shaft I would love some input from my fellow honda modders. I have a 1991 si with a b18b1 block and a ys1 tranny. The half shaft and intermediate shaft are 94-01 integra, i replaced the axles when I bought it but never bothered with the int shaft because i...

91 Civic Si Ignition Switch Wiring

Hey, I have a question for anyone who is familiar with the wiring in an ignition switch from a 91 si. I am attempting to install a push button start, fully bypassing the ignition tumbler. No "put the key in first then press the button" as I've heard of people doing. So, there are 7 main...

    Intermittent No Crank

Replaced once. It's just strange that it would start after holding it for 5 seconds. I can't fully rule it out because the one i replaced it with was from my donor car, not new. Aside from the Clucth safety switch I don't know which wires would be involved with the auto to manual swap, if I...

    Intermittent No Crank

Just tried to start it after work and got nothing as i thought it would... tried again and held it and it started after 5 seconds. Really makes me think it's the ignition switch even though I have tried two and cleaned them both inside and out. I also have the ignition tumbler off right now so...

    Intermittent No Crank

I've sanded and cleaned all of the engine grounds, and upgraded from the stock power and ground battery cables to 4awg. The engine starts up everytime right now, i'll try again when it doesn't. Thanks for the help, i'll post back tomorrow with results.

    Intermittent No Crank

1991 Honda Civic Si The starter motor is grounded and is getting over 12v from the battery. It only cranks when it starts, it's occasionally not sending power to the starter (headlights don't dim when key is turned, everything else turns off). The single black/white wire that is connected to...

    Intermittent No Crank

Hey, so I have this civic... Bought it off a guy who swapped the engine with a b18b sporting a ys1. It was also converted from auto to manual... A lot of wires going nowhere and most just electical taped. No reverse lights, engine fan is always on, clutch saftey switch wired to always be...

    Electrical cut out?...

That is extremely unfortunate as I bought that battery just last year. It's also rated for something like 900 cold crank amps, so it's not even a s**t battery... also, I replaced the old battery terminals and wires with the battery, upgraded to 8 or 6 guage I cant remember. You think running it...

    Electrical cut out?...

So here is a good one... Left my headlights on this morning while I was at work, came back and car was obviously dead. Jumped the car drove it to Tim Hortons, started right back up, just about home and I'm sitting at a light and my stereo dies, along with everything electrical in the car...

Hey, popped the e-brake up, let it roll back, nothing, put it in reverse, still nothing. I'm leaning towards stretched cables or bad rear drums, the pads looked pretty worn when I was in there anyways. I'm just going to swap out the good internals from my dx and check the cable while I'm at it.

Thank you to MotorMo, XpL0d3r, Szady, Jersey8, and Ep3po for the help! I have replace the the knuckle and voila! No more noise! After I removed the rotor I found that the hub was quite loose, odd that neither I or a friend could wiggle the wheel at all. Nonetheless my *main* issue is gone! Add...

Yeah, it's a hard sound to describe. I've pulled my known good hub off of my dx, so now I'll jack er up and check everything that's going on in there. Thanks for the post, it's nice to get some advice in where to look specifically before I get in there. I'll post results when I figure it out!

Thanks for the ideas! I have a 90 dx sitting for parts so maybe I'll take the hub/ knuckle/ caliper off and swap em'. I'm praying for bent or brakes, I don't feel like messing with the tranny, I've got lots of other s**t to do, and would never have the time to pull it.

Hey all, I have only found one forum that was relatively close to what i'm experiencing and it turned out to be his main shaft bearing. Anyways, here I am. I have a 91 civic hatch with a B18B1 swap, YS1 GSR transmission with GSR axles. It's a manual transmission, shifter and linkage from the...
