I had this same problem last year it it turned out to be the ignitor/module found inside the distributer. Could also be the ignition coil too.

After installation mine was easy to shift right away

why not change the thermostat, Its the easiest fix besides a radiator cap. Are you dripping any water while the car is running? Could also be the waterpump.

I'm 6'1 and have never had any problems with leg room, in fact I find it more spacious than some other cars I have driven.

I've unplugged/plugged my cluster plenty of times with the srs light never coming on. Did you perhaps unplug the srs harness? That light is your e-brake.

Only about 3,000 miles of daily driving, so nothing too abusive. I've inspected them regularly with no tears in the boot and very minimal adjusting on the allen bolts.

I have had positive experience with omni. I bought the full camber kit 2 years ago and everything is still good.
