if you had receipts and the work was done professionally, I would probably pay up to 800. im not very trusting when it comes to car parts, so having proof that the motor has had all that work done, and done right would be worth it to me if i wasn't gonna do a swap.

yea i knew about the bolts too. makes sense since everything is wider and stronger. ok, well i asked the guy for a refund which he said was cool so we'll see. hopefully i can hunt down some forks i can check out myself soon. I WANT A MORE SOLID FRONT END DAMMIT :P

oh sweet, didn't know crv ones would fit. and there's a guy parting one out near me :D the guy i bought them from is very persistent that they are 2000 si shock forks, so i don't know. anyway, bump for more suggestions (or if someone wants to sell me some ;) )

depends on the offset of the wheel. i run exactly the same tires lowered on tein s-techs (1.9" drop in front, 1.7" rear) and they dont rub unless the car is weighed down and i take a corner hard.

look into either the megan 'drift' spec (its just a name lol) or the apexi ws2 systems. both beyond 300 bucks, but they aren't generic ebay cat backs. maybe wanna ask your local exhaust shop and see what a custom system would run.....then just pick any muffler.

so i bought this entire si subframe (sway bar, endlinks, control arms, bushings, steering rack) to replace a few things. i knew ahead of time he didn't have the si damper forks I needed, so i hunted some down. they came in today.....and they aren't wide enough. both parts in question look...

there's no way there'd be any civic newer than 91 in a junk yard here lol. on craigslist, i did find someone selling ex arms for 25 each, but those are still 2-piece and im not sure they would fix my problem.......would get the sway bar mount though and can use my current shock forks.

Cool thanks!! 357 bucks for all that though, so it'll have to wait for a bit. Since I believe my problem is mostly from a couple bolts slipping, is there any locktite type stuff that would keep them in check a bit better? possibly solve the problem completely??

hey guys, i was just curious if the front lower control arms from a 99-00 Si would fit on my 97 dx. i noticed they were 1-piece arms instead of 2 piece. the ones in this diagram..... the reason i want 1-piece arms is because the bolts holding the 2 pieces of current ones dont stay...

This gives you guys a little bit better idea of the condition they're in... The one that's noticably messed up... @ toneekay: the movement is all the time. just everytime force on the engine is changed, it has a very loose feel to it. an example would be cruising along...

taking the bumper off is incredibly easy. it's just a whole bunch of plastic clip things, two screws under the quarter panel, and two bolts underneath the bumper.

"I took a look at the mounts and they look ok (except the driver side torque mount)" the torque mount is the one way up front mounted under the chassis, but it doesn't look like it's responsible for this much movement. i'll take the best pics i can tomorrow maybe.

the only reason i could see for sticking with the b16, would be the immense aftermarket for it. just my 2 cents. if i were to drop it in and leave it alone, h22 without question.

i'd say 4k cause of the motor (lesser miles i assume).......maybe 5k if you find the right buyer.

get the sigma 10-20mm or the tamron 10-17mm. the tamron is more exaggeratted but I think I'm gonna stick with the sigma. both are around 500 bucks :( if you're REALLY talented in photoshop and have way too much time on your hands, I suppose you could take a series of shots in a grid then...
