My cluster and heater control lights do not light up, ive checked all my fuses under the dash and hood, all are still good. Replaced the cluster still no luck.. would my best bet be hookin up a volt tester?

im not doubting the fuel pump going, but why would a bad fuel pump kill the power to the cd player as well?
