what size nut did you use on the shifter?

just picked up a set of si rears out of a 99 to put into my 99 coupe. well i get home and the tops went it no problem. now the bottom seat is another story. the back slot lines up perfect to be bolted but the 2 front slots are off there holes by a few inches? anyone ever had this problem?
