    Facts bout h22's

OP -- this is true. It's the pretty typical H build. Mahle pistons, and boost it. You'll make 300ish WHP and it'll be reliable for a few years. As with anything though, if you want to build a motor and make 400+ reliably you're going to end up sleeving it anyway (which veto's the FRM wall...

I think OC hit the nail on the head. I can completely respect your decision and understand your reasoning, but it may not be the best idea for long term conditions.

    Facts bout h22's

there is a whole thread on hond-tech about this, i dont have the link handy though. The rundown on your specific questions though. - closed deck H22's are better than open deck H22's ---- truth - the frm sleeves are the weak point when boosting ---- truth - piston ring lands are the weak...

    h22 question

wrong. the harness can be rewired (only a few things need to be changed) out of an obd1 vtec car you cannot use the H axles in your civic, you have to by hybrid axles or make yours. Same with the mounts. You need the motor, tranny, half shaft, and ecu. read here...

why do you disrespect police officers?

the only time i ever disrespected a police officer was after he started harassing me and threatening to take me to jail and impound my car for a DUI that wasn't even possible, he wouldnt just give me a breathalyzer from the get go. Took me out of the car, put me in handcuffs behind it on the...

    Built N/A 96 Civic Coupe

yes i've done tons of research on various cams for the motor and yes i know the car will need to be retuned lol even as it sits it couldn't hurt it to get it back on a dyno and tweak some things. The current motor has already been through 3 separate dyno tuning sessions, and 2 street tune...

    Built N/A 96 Civic Coupe

At this point it's looking like i'm going to be keeping it for another winter and doing all of the TLC on it (fixing all of the listed, known, issues), might even just say screw it and bump the compression up a little more, skunk 2 pro 2's and shoot for 275whp.

Fs: 2000 honda Civic Si $9000 OBO

So coming into someones for sale thread and bitching about the price accomplishes what? Hey i'm selling a 14 year old car for $5500, nevermind the fact there's 6grand in the motor alone... go b***h in my thread  Someone will buy the car for the asking price. The end.

Fs: 2000 honda Civic Si $9000 OBO

IMO: It's ignorant buyers ruining the market. 100% of the time it holds true that the value drops with mods... to your average joe looking to get into a civic to save gas money, and have cheap maintenance. To an enthusiast, it should be looked upon (to an extent) as "i couldn't build that car...

FS: Lancer Evolution- Built 2.3 stroker, GT30R, 1,200 miles!

E85 + 30psi (which the motor would hold it fine) would easily push into the 550+ range i think. Bump for a sick car, wish i could afford something like this.
