Not true. His car is a 92, all of the 92 Civics came pre wired with vtec to the shock tower. He can PnP a D16Z6 engine harness right in. No wiring needed.

Put the B16 head on the B20 block. use the golden eagle.com B20/vtec conversion kit. That sounds like your best bet. Because the B18C1 you said was bare.. so I am assuming it has no crank, pistons or rods. While the B20 is most likely good yet.

:word: I agree with EG HATCH. I have done a few LS/Vtec's (frankenstien) motors. And while they were pretty fast, even my freshly rebuilt one leaked oil from the headgasket. They are prone to premature failure, require more maintenance.. etc. You have to remember that the motor was...

ZC I wouldnt even think of an alternator being part of the engine..... I was meaning internally. Pistons, rods etc.

better option yet.... do what I did. SOHC ZC, with a Z6 head. higher compression = more fun for daddy.

I dont have any issues getting parts for my ZC. D16A1 from an 88-89 integra are almost identical. Also, in my case the ZC that I have is the EXACT same as the D16A6. So no issues there. Another thing to note... ZC DOHC's are MAD CHEAP, so if something messes up you can get another one...

Just boost the LS... its easier to tune. and after porting and big cams.. they end up about the same.... Look up the video of Cheesfrog vs. the Viper... LS turbo.

Normally... No. However if you get creative, you could most likely modify the ears of the dizzy to make it fit. I have put D16A6 distributors on B16 heads before... It just takes some cutting with a dremel.

Most likely it is the dimmer switch that is bad.. That is exactly what happened to mine. I just jumped the plug with a wire for a temporary fix until I could get a new dimmer.

Nah... it looks alright with the HX wheels. Like I said before.. it was $300 and its my beater.

according to CompCams the cam makes power to 8200 rpm. I run it to 7200 simply because the valves will float anywhere above that. It actually is a swap for my 88-91 DX, but thats another story.... It however is not a B swap.
