This is like talking to a brick wall. Re-read what I wrote. I was saying to give up the wallet first, and THEN defend yourself if necessary, not shoot as soon as someone asks for your wallet. That way if they just want the wallet with little fuss you avoid even having to deal with courts...
Better to lose a few bucks than be tried by 12... I never said don't carry a gun, I was saying that a lot of people in this thread seem a bit trigger happy.
That doesn't matter. Maybe you can get away with that in Arlington, but in many states they would make a martyr out of you for shooting early. Also, my point extends to personal safety as well. Have someone stand in front of you with a dummy weapon of some kind and ask for your wallet, and...
Nope, as you can see I am still too young to get my CWP, and unless I move out of MD I won't be getting one even when I turn 21 unfortunately.
I've just done a lot of research on many different aspects of firearm ownership.
Yes, it should be obvious that you don't shoot immediately, but...
That's pretty far off the mark.
Plasma screens tend to show blacks and other dark colors better making them look better during darker movie scenes. They also tend to have a better viewing angle than LCD tv's, and when comparing lower end models LCD's have a tedency to blur quick moving...
Like I said before though, CWP courses are mostly a joke. Also, they can never cover all specific scenarios. I was simply saying that it isn't always right to immediately shoot because some dude wants your wallet, and in many cases it may be safer for you to just give it up.
The best advice I could give you is don't listen to most of these guys about when to shoot someone. I have to agree with vjf on his basic point that it is usually a better idea to give them your stuff than to immediately mag dump into a mugger. In some situations it would be best to resist...
Don't ask the internet to tell you what gun to get. No offense to anyone here, but none of us can recommend a gun for you with any real accuracy. It's so much about personal feel and preference, and doubly so when you're looking for something to defend your life with and carry on a daily...
Nice strategy, but you're supposed to use the scope to see the number on his answering machine, and then call it to get him to walk over to the phone. (Well, I shouldn't say you're supposed to, but it's more professional )
Oh pull the stick out of your ass. It's a 2 hour ceremony where she laughs and talks with her friends, walks across a stage, and then goes to someones house and gets trashed. This not belittling all the hard work you apparently did in high school in order to attend the ceremony.
Yes, but she is taking her credits at summer school and will have affectively graduated by the start of the next fall semester. I say let her walk, it's really not that big of a deal.
She doesn't want a diploma dude, it sounds like she understands and is fully willing to make up what she...
Why don't you let her decide on her car? It sounds like you want us to help you convince her to buy a car that YOU would enjoy "borrowing" every once in a while.
LOL at having to trick people into being interested in your car.
OP, did you ever think maybe there was a common denominator to every single one of your threads getting shat on? More directly, that perhaps that common denominator was you?
That's true, but it's all about perspective. If you never had any of those luxuries and were raised in their tribe would you still rather live this way? What they do works for them, and what we do works for us.
You know what they say about making assumptions right? A motor swap and a lip is not the same as putting a FULL Type R kit on your hatch, swapping a B16b and putting Type R decals on the side and trying to make everyone think your CX is a Type R. If someone did that, I would be flaming them...
