    :welcome: Honestly you're biggest worry with older gen's should be rust and lack of maintenance. If you're down south you shouldn't have to really worry about rust, though. But 6th gen Civic's are basically adult lego's - everything can be upgraded or replaced. I can't really think of anything...

    Before you make any drastic changes, do a full trans flush. Use some generic trans fluid to flush it out, then replace with Synchromesh or Amsoil. I'd also recommend replacing the drain bolt with a magnetic one. In my RSX I used to have a 2nd gear grind - I did a flush and replaced with Amsoil...
