What the f**k is going on with your..intake..? w/e the portion of piping going from your intercooler to your intake manifold, obivously it's heat wrapped but man it looks dirty.
But nice car, like the white.
Get a lip!(jk lol, do what you want)
96-98 front end FTL. terrible looking, SORRY for anyone who has or loves them, just my opinion.
I have mine converted to 99-00.
You need fenders, hood, grille, bumper, headlights, and you're good.
Bolts right up...
go with a Gs-r.
In toronto I got quoted $3000 to take my B16 out of my car and swap it with a Gs-r motor(B18c1)
Probably just end up doing it myself because everything is wired up and ready to go, just straight remove and install.
A fair price would be around 3800 for a Gs-r installed...
Oh, yea. The steering wheel.
Well I didn't even know that the si had a different steering wheel, but if it's for 50 bucks WITH the air bag, I'd take it.
and it should just bolt right up.
he probably had a d-series motor, and got it swapped with some kind of new fandangled "b-series" engine. I've never even heard of that happening!
yea man, in toronto you can get a B16 swap for 2600, with new clutch, timing belt, waterpump and all that good s**t, labor in complete for 2600.
But they are converting it to manual, and i have no idea how much that costs, or the time it takes.
Manual... and if you want your auto to go fast buy a manual swap.
You'll just blow the tranny if you try to add to much power, Honda hasn't had the greatest track record with auto tranny's...J30's tranny for example.
pretty much almost anything, you just need to buy the hub.
The ABSOLUTE best looking steering wheel is the civic Type R steering wheel, made by momo, looks great and you can keep the air bag.
I think you're pretty much bang on.
Except you might have converted it into US litre.. I dunno.
But everything is so expensive in canada because of taxes, a 12 pack of MDG beer here is over 30 bucks. I think it's around 8 bucks in the states! even though ours has more alcohol ;)
ok, the actual swap is easy as baking f**king cookies.
The only hard part is cutting the wiring harness.
Go get someone who knows what they're doing.
you will need an obd2-obd1 conversion harness unless you buy my type-r ecu =D
I'd personally go with the B18. I did the B16, now I have...
f**k yea it does.
But atleast now, I can do a pretty decent build.
Either going with a fairly heavy N/A build or a light turbo build and really get some power out of this thing.
OMG you guys are soo f**king lucky.
In Canada gas is around $1.25/litre for regular..I have no idea how much it is in gallons but it's alot more expensive.
91 octane I pay almost $36 for 27 litres.. our tanks are sapose to hold almost 40 litres...
HUUUUUUUUFUCKINGRAAYY!!
"hey, josh. Let's go for a mothing f**king ride and try to figure this out"
"Sure Colin, Let's go"
"You know, it's almost like it's miss firing.... I'm gonna do plug wires and cap and rotor"
"oh, lets just check the spark plugs to see if it looks blown.."
"oh...
