    Drove through a small river.....rattles!

Completely different chassis. The ecotec may not be as refined as a Honda motor, but it's built like a tank. Plus, my insurance went down. I'm not bashing Honda so why try to tear somthing down. Negativity is a virus.....enjoy it.

    Drove through a small river.....rattles!

Say what you want. I got a great deal and the money to fix my Civic was not worth it. I'm happy with my decision. Plus, I don't race so it really didn't factor into my decision. The 7th gen has too many damn problems anyway.

    Drove through a small river.....rattles!

I traded in my Honda today and bought a Cobalt SS. I've went to the dark side. The "American" side. I love my Cobalt.

    Drove through a small river.....rattles!

I don't see how that flimsy piece of metal can provide enough protection against 2500f. I guess I'll have to try and bend it or somthing. We got over 1.5" of rain in 15 minutes that night. It was crazy.

    Drove through a small river.....rattles!

I misread your post. I'm spray painting and think I went kinda retarded from the fumes. Yea, they are held on by a few 10mm bolts.

    Drove through a small river.....rattles!

I have jacked up the car and looked and yes they can be removed. I'm asking if it is safe to remove. I had the heat shield off of my headers for 2 weeks and had no problems.

I only thought it was a few inches of rain but it turned out to be like 2ft of water. I think the heat shield that goes above the muffler and the one above the cat is loose and bent. Can these be safely removed with doing any damage to my car. It is starting to get really annoying.

    Reflective headlight housing

The part the bulb reflects off of. Not the piece you pull off to paint. Number 1. http://s176.photobucket.com/albums/w196/simpsonbuck3436/?action=view&current=IMG_0082.jpg Near the bulb socket it is not very reflective anymore and makes one headlight dimmer. Looks like it was burned off or...

    Reflective headlight housing

It's from not letting a solvent based spray paint properly cure before putting the assembly back together. Patience is worth its weight in gold.

    Reflective headlight housing

There are some spots on the reflective housing inside my headlight assembly that have dulled. Is there a paint or somthing I can use to restore this? I tried looking for just the reflective insert but can find only the whole assembly for sale. It's making my silverstart bulbs look like shiet...

    I'm screwed!

I have my headlights out all sanded down ready to go. I put down my first coat of krylon fusion and everything is cool. Second coat time, the can starts spitting paint and then becomes completely clogged. Before I can clean the tip it flies off and paint spews all over my clothes, garage...

    DIY Blackout headlight problem..help!

Looks good. I primed and painted and I'm gonna let them sit out all night. I went ahead and changed my pcv valve while my car was on jacks. I wish I would have been patient the first time around, striping and sanding is a biatch!

    DIY Blackout headlight problem..help!

Will a glass cleaner that does not contain ammonia work or is there a better solution? (inside of lens) Can I also use this to clean the reflective material? I searched and searched and couldn't find the answers I needed. I know this has been asked before so I'm sorry if this is redundant...

    DIY Blackout headlight problem..help!

Thank you. What primer should I use? The paint was a oil based sherwin williams brand spray paint. Big foul on my part! Can I black out the turn signal reflective part and keep the amber bulb and insert and still be legal? Legal enough to not get harassed that is. lol =)

    DIY Blackout headlight problem..help!

The first few weeks everything was fine. I'm now going on about week number two and some problems are arising. 1. The reflective material around the headlight bulbs are starting to form a rainbow like haze on them and in some spots has been completely removed. (This is not the pull out that...
