    Stereo Antenna

I've wondered why the reception in my car was so crappy so I'm glad to finally know that I'm not alone. I will try cleaning my antenna first to see if that works. Does anyone know where the antenna is grounded in a 96 sedan? I've read that a good antenna ground is essential for good reception.

Climate Control Knob stuck (with video)

I have a 96 Civic LX as well and my climate control switch will not switch to hot....it stops in the middle just like yours does in the video. I haven't taken the time to look into it closer like you did in the video though. Hopefully someone chimes in with a fix because I sure would like to...

1996 Civic LX D16Y7 Exhaust Manifold

wannabe, could you please post or PM me a link showing a picture of the EX setup? If I could truly go that route and save money then I'm all for trying something different. I don't have emission testing where I live either so I could probably get by without a cat if need be too. But then I...

1996 Civic LX D16Y7 Exhaust Manifold

Thank you for finally giving me the answer I was looking for. That is what I was afraid of. I may try to have it welded like cgpEJ6 suggested. I tried something called ThermoSteel and that worked for a short time but it finally burned off. Thanks for the offer but it looks like that won't...

1996 Civic LX D16Y7 Exhaust Manifold

Damn, I didn't mean for this to turn into a pissing match! I still haven't received an answer to my original question on whether I can buy a D16Y7 manifold only or if the manifold and cat are inseparable and I have to buy those two items together. I appreciate the eBay header, EX this and that...

1996 Civic LX D16Y7 Exhaust Manifold

Wow, thanks for the fast reply! I'm just trying to go the cheapest route possible and really would like to stay as stock as possible to keep the 36 mpg's I'm getting. How much would an eBay header and EX cat run me? Would it bolt up directly to the stock exhaust? Would it affect my mileage...

1996 Civic LX D16Y7 Exhaust Manifold

Car and engine are all stock. Exhaust manifold has the infamous crack right above the O2 sensor. I've read that the manifold and cat are "together". Are they bolted together or somehow forged together? Searching some of the online parts stores and eBay I find that you can buy replacement...

    P0171 Help!!!

I patched my exhaust manifold with some ThermoSteel and installed a new primary O2 sensor and all is well now. My fuel mileage went up considerably and no more CEL. I hope you've gotten yours figured out by now esleek.

    Replacing O2 Sensor

I just ordered one from oxygengeek.com that had the proper connector on it. If you order a universal fit one I believe they come with something to splice onto the connector from your old sensor. It's simple to change...just unplug the current one, unscrew it from the manifold, screw in the new...

    P0171 Help!!!

That sucks man. I just ordered a new primary o2 sensor to try on mine. I also have a cracked exhaust manifold that I need to repair or replace. Maybe you could take a look at yours and see if you have the same problem?

    P0171 Help!!!

esleek, did you ever get this fixed? I have the same problem with my 96 Civic LX and I'm trying to determine the best course of action. I bought this car for better gas mileage only to get it home and find out it's getting in the mid 20's which is horrible. How can I check the O2 sensor to...
