The wires may have come off. There are two wires connected from the back. If you take off the lower part of the console, you will see it. You could always just pick up a new unit at Autozone for under $6, if you still can't get it to work.

Agreed with lethal. I have a 00 on my 96 and it's fits perfectly. They do look slightly different though. The 00 looks a little better.

I'd go with something better. Find something used on Craigslist without dents. If your on a budget though, just get some duplicolor. Lots of instructions on youtube, and Duplicolor's website. I am repainting both my wheels and car soon. I don't want to give you any because I have not done it yet.

Had this issue with my 96 Remove the center armrest console and slide it back. Believe there is 2 screws on each side. There is a nut connecting to that lever right in front of where the rear ashtray sits. Take a deep socket (10mm I think it was) and tighten the nut. Just don't over tighten...

cheapest $80 for the pair is probably the cheapest your going to find. I paid more than that for mine. Check your local junk yard. Some of them sell new parts as well as used. Try craigslist. Find something LOCAL without shipping.

HAHA It's funny I was just about to post about my doors and saw yours. I usually spray Wd40 on the movable parts. The sliding part that slides inside and out of the door, and also the hinge near the fender. It will go away but eventually come back. There has to be something better than Wd40...

I really don't have a way to check that though. Also I don't want to get rid of my cluster. It's going to screw up all my milage info for both engine and trans. Right now it's being ran up though even I am not moving. I went 2 miles just sitting still at almost 100mph. lol

That is the fuse I replaced. I checked all the fuses under the dash, and that was the only one blown. unless it blew again, I might have a larger problem. I just invested a lot of money into a new engine and trans so dying is not an option.
