Fuel + Spark still no fire

Sounds like maybe your Main Relay is bad, which could be why you had to use a jumper to supply battery voltage to the pump, it could be a number of things, that's just what I thought of off the top of my head. The gas could be causing it as well, I would think it may be sputtering and missing...

    Were Stumped!

Check the injector's operation with a noid light, that way you will know if it is really a wiring/electrical problem, or the injector itself. How do you know that the 4th injector isn't firing, I.E, what tests have you done?

    1995 ex dies while driving

If your tachometer was spazzing out, that points to a possible problem with the distributor, since the crank and cam sensors are built into the distributor, and that is where your tachometer gets its reading.. Test or swap otu the distributor and see what you come up with. To the OP, you may...

    Aftermarket Air Intake Questions?...need answers

I have an AEM short-ram on my B7, I run it because I got it for free, but I had previously ran a stock air box with an aftermarket intake tube and a high-flow drop in filter. Here is a write up that D Grade did on a D.I.Y Icebox-style intake...

    intake manifold swap

Are you sure it has a D15? it should have a D16Y7. The best manifold for that engine would be one from a D16Y8. Pair it up with some good bolt ons and you should see a small power gain.

    Starting issue

I remember reading a while back about a TSB out on the 1992 Civic models for a long-crank issue. I had to replace the fuel pump in mine because it was leaking, it had the same symptoms as yours, but I would start with the simpler things, like the fuel filter. The fuel system may just need to be...

im glad i didnt decide to keep with auto classes & become a mechanic

Ever since I can remember, all I have ever wanted to do was be a Mechanic. I'll be graduating in May and shortly after will be taking the ASE test. In my opinion, it's something you have to really want to do, it can be damn frustrating sometimes, but I look at it as a challenge, because I know...

    VX o2 sensor

Just curious, why are you putting a VX motor into an EX? The VX also has an EGR valve along with the 5-wire O2 sensor that the PO7 will be looking for. You could have the ECU chipped to turn off the O2 sensor, otherwise I think you could wire the 5-wire O2 connector into the EX harness following...

Your score is: 19 out of 20 I missed the Ford F-series one, I hadn't seen their new design yet.

    Whats up all..........

The TPS sensor is the same for D and B series motors as far as I know.

    No start condition

When you say "cold and hot" are you talking about the engine temperature or the temperature outdoors? Kind of sounds like a bad Main Relay to me.

    B20a5

That motor is absolutely useless. Nobody makes anything for them, and most people throw them away, and as far as I know they can't be swapped into anything.

    trouble with the monster

Sounds like the Main Relay. Over time, the solder can come loose and crack, you can re-solder them or buy a new one, re-soldering them isn't too hard. http://techauto.tripod.com/mainrelay.htm

    D15B7 head swap

Can you run a D15B7 head with a D15B8 ecu? Also, what would be needed besides modifying the 02 sensor to a 4 wire to run a B7 ecu with a B8 harness? I realize they are basically the same engine with the 8 valves being the only difference, but the redline of the B7 is higher than the B8 and I...
