Head Liner hanging down near back window

Thanks everyone.... I may try the little curly-cue looking things. If that doesn't work, I may just cut the loose fabric hanging down with a utility knife. I've just about had it with this stuff..... Thanks again.....

Head Liner hanging down near back window

Hello fellow Civic owners.... I have a 2001 Civic LX with no mods done to it, but the headliner cloth near the back of the car by the rear window is pulling away from the molded headliner backing. Anyone have any semi-easy fixes for this?? Thanks.....

2001 cylinder head cam end plug

Good idea.... those guys are usually pretty knowledgeable. Maybe pick up one of the Haynes repair manuals while there too. Thanks joe7987. Guys up to work ask me "is it leaking much?", to which I tell them no, not a whole lot. They then tell me that if it was up to them, they would leave...

2001 cylinder head cam end plug

Well, I think I'm gonna leave it up to my local mechanic. Seems everytime I try to do a simple fix, I run into more than I bargained for. Thanks for your input tho......

2001 cylinder head cam end plug

Hello... Haven't been on here in quite some time. Have a little oil leak from the left side of the valve cover area. I believe it is the cam end plug?? It is not actually located on the valve cover, but a little lower. It is a plastic circular cap, and this is where the oil is coming...

    Re: Color Of Radiator Fluid

Hello..... The radiator fluid in my 2001 Civic Lx appears to be a dark green color. I bought some Honda brand radiator fluid at a Honda dealer and it looks like it is blue colored. I was going to add a little to the expansion tank as it is right on the bottom mark when the engine is cold...

    Re: Thermostat

Hello, I have a 2001 Civic LX with apprx 85000 miles on it. When should the thermostat be replaced on this car? Also: I noticed that the antifreeze/coolant is very dark green. Could it be possible that the Honda mechanic who did my timing belt/water pump job, poured straight, non-diluted...

Re: XM Radio Hookup and Sound Quality

Does anyone know what the best way to hook up an XM Radio to a Honda Civic AM/FM Cassette Stereo (stock) would be?? I really don't want to use a cassette adapter and have the wire hanging all over the place.

    XM Radio Install

Does anyone know if I can hook-up and XM Radio to the back of my existing stereo in my Civic? I have a 2001 Civic LX with an AM/FM Cassette Stereo. One of the buttons on the front panel of the AM/FM Cassette Stereo says CD on it. Does this mean there is a hook-up in the back of the unit that...

    New Tires

I'm gonna need new tires on my Civic and was wondering what the opinion of Goodyear Assurance ComforTred tires was. I hear there supposed to give a better ride and less road noise. What do you think??

    Gurgling noise from behind dash

I stopped at a Honda dealer the other day and asked to have a tech listen to the gurgling noise. The tech could also hear the noise, but said it was nothing to worry about and it wasn't nothing out of the ordinary. So I guess I'll just keep an eye on the coolant in the expansion tank and hope...

New Owner of 2001 Honda Civic, was Liquidice944

I too had a clunk noise when I'd hit a bump, coming from the back of vehicle. It turned out to be the rear shocks. I had them replaced and that took care of the noise. That was four years ago and now I can hear it again, but nowhere nearly as noticable as before. Good luck......

    Gurgling noise from behind dash

I'm starting to believe that the letter "H" that is on the grill of my Civic, doesn't stand for Honda..... it stands for HELL!!!!

    Gurgling noise from behind dash

Well, I just got done with the Civic again. I put it up on ramps and took the radiator cap off and let it run until the fans kicked on. I did notice a few more bubbles, but nothing real significant. And as the coolant in the neck of the radiator kept creeping up as the engine ran, I used a...

    timing belt

I had my timing belt changed at a Honda dealer. Cost was a little under $600, but that was last summer tho. But now I'm hearing gurgling from behind the dash from the heater core, I suspect, like there is air in my coolant system, I tried to bleed out, but it's still making the noise. This...

    Gurgling noise from behind dash

I'll check the heat at idle tomorrow and see what happens...... I think I'm also gonna put the car back on the ramps and take the radiator cap off and let it run for awhile and see what happens (maybe I'll get some more air out). This time I'm gonna just let it idle and not rev the engine. I...

    Gurgling noise from behind dash

Hello everyone.... I'm brand new to this forum, so please forgive me if I'm not in the right place. I have a 2001 Civic LX with 82000 miles and I'm hearing a "gurgling" sound coming from behind the dash. I'm guessing it is air trapped in the coolant in the heater core. I had a new...
