yes the dizzy would have to be obd1 if you have a jumper then maybe not all you can do is get a obd1 dizzy and try it or borrow a friends just to see if it works

i cant say the only time i ever did obd0 to 0bd1 i changed the engine harness and just did the ecu jumper harness but i do know that obd0 dizzy wont work on obd1 wiring and vise versa

could be ur valve seals or maybe ur rings are bad

idk where you live but even still d16y7's and or y8's shouldnt be that hard to find if you just need a motor and i dont think it would be wise to put a obd1 motor into a obd2 car espacally if yo state be tripppin hard on emissions
