    Lower my civic?

I somewhat disagree. Any change to your stock suspension will yield a different feel altogether. To me, my ride was not bouncy at all. In fact it felt less bouncy than stock. However the ride was harsher than stock, but thats what your going to get when you throw in a stiffer spring or coilover...

    Lower my civic?

Coilovers = adjustable and way more customizable = more $$$ ($1000+) Lowering Springs = non adjustable and may require performance shocks (depending on brand and who you talk to = cheaper than coilovers ($100-$500 for springs only average) In my case I just wanted a lower looking ride and...

    Lower my civic?

If you want to lower your car but on the cheap you got a couple of options. 1. Get some SI springs. They will drop you .25 - .5" lower than stock. 2. Get Eibach Pros. That will get you about 1-1.25" drop over stock. I've had the Eibachs paired with my stock shocks and I never once had a...

    96 coupe dx, ideas?

Welcome to the site. Easiest mods to do right now is get rid of that "H" sticker off the gas tank. Secondly get some wheels. Then when it warms up give it a nice new paint job, or at the very least re-paint the moldings to match the color of the car. Not feeling that white red combo there...

    HID Kit

The Civic headlights were not designed for HIDs. You will get nothing but overly bright, scattered light and a lot of pissed off on-coming traffic drivers. If you plan on getting pojectors anyways, save your money and do it right at that time. Otherwise If you must have brighter lights now look...

    Advice needed...

What up peeps. Here's the deal. I got a 95 civic that is in pretty bad shape. Let me list the problems for you all to see; 1. Leaking oil. I think I got a bad gasket, and a damaged oil pan. 2. Leaky cabin. Its got a sunroof, and I think the seals may be worn or damaged allowing water into...

Buddy's gause cluster don't light up

OK I did that. As soon as I jumped the connection the fuse fried. I also did it where the gauge cluster was not plugged in and the switch was. When I did it that way the fuse held but the dimming control woudn't dim anything. Anyhow I figure its gotta be the gauges. I'm so frustrated right...

Buddy's gause cluster don't light up

Hmmm I do know that my battery is on its last leg of life. Could it be the reason behind my woes? Damn I wanted to swap out my IM this weekend too. I may have to spend that money repairing my electrical instead now. :(

Buddy's gause cluster don't light up

OK I'm back. Well it actually was the stupid fuse, LoL. I guess I was tired last night and didn't really see it properly. However my lights still do not work properly. Something is blowing the fuse to hell. I've gone through 3 fuses back to back just now. At least I'm getting closer to the...

Buddy's gause cluster don't light up

OK I'll check it out and report my findings in a bit. When everything was working yeah the dimmer brightened and dimmed the backlights behind the heater a/c controls. Now its totally dark.

Buddy's gause cluster don't light up

They do. Good call man. I'll be able to get my hands on a multimeter at noon and I'll check it again. I have plenty of spare fuses so I'll just replace it for good measure. Now if I do in fact have power there, and I replace the fuse with a known good fuse and still I have no power, could I...

Buddy's gause cluster don't light up

I don't have a voltmeter handy atm. The backlights. Everything works like the blinkers ac controls, ect. Its the back lights that don't work. After trying to jump the dimmer without success and from more digging around, I'm starting to think I have a faulty headlight switch.

Buddy's gause cluster don't light up

The instrument fuse under the dash and I also checked the one under the hood. I pulled them out and looked into them to make sure they were not burned out. Is there another fuse I should check? Also let me report that when the gauges went out, at first it was just the gauges. Then everything...

D16Y7 to D16Z6 intake manifold swap

I went that route originally. I'm simply not a fan of that plastic box.

D16Y7 to D16Z6 intake manifold swap

I do understand that the gains on this one mod alone is very minimal. This swap is merely the first of several mods that I intend to do to my engine. The reason why I'm doing this one first and right now is because I'm getting a sweet deal on the components and I absolutely despise my current...

    climate control swap?

Its swapable but its a b***h. Reason why is because the 96-98's have a manual control for the AC, while the 99's+ use a digital control.

    Side Panels/Moldings

OP: If you try to pry them off you'll most likely break the clips and possible damage the opening where the clips go into. Best thing to do is remove the door panel and with a pair of needle nose pliers, push the clips out. Its not that difficult once you get the door panels off.

    Crappy welding?

Ummm that looks like sheit if you ask me. I'm no expert but isn't a good weld supposed to look like a series of coins?
