So I just put a new D16Y7 in my car ( couldnt afford to do a vtech swap) and I was driving up to a red stop light. it stayed red I swear for about 10 minutes, then this red thunderbird v6 rolls up. It has 2 people in it and they are doing little brake stands and what not thinking that they look...
So I blew the motor in my 1996 Civic Dx. I got a new one (D16Y7 same engine) and it will idle kinda okay like it will jump between 1000-1500. Once I put it in drive it starts rolling like normal but as soon as I hit the gas even a little it feels like it rev limits. The rpm's wont go over 2000...
My DX before the engine blew on it, It would only burn oil if I beat the f**k out of it but it wouldnt if i drove it nice. So if you beat on it stop for a while and see the difference.
That is the most bullshit thing I have ever heard. Take them to court, get the money for your car, and get more money for not having it for 3 months, and if i was you i would even push for them paying for the car you had to buy.
I am current building subs at my school for my 1996 DX but I dont have my car here. So I was just wondering if anybody here could tell me the measurements for the Width lenth and heigth of the inside of the trunk?
Yeah but see i dont have the money for all of this. I already have the transmission but I have about 300 dollars left to spend. Im getting a used engine. I do plan on 5 speed conversion and a B20 engine swap but I just dont have the money for it right now and I need the car like right now
Nevermind, I found a bent valve yes but when i replaced the head it turns out that ronj was right unfortunatly and now my engine is just f**ked. Im getting another engine but im not to sure if i want to keep my current engine type or a B series
Alright well my engine destroyed its self yesterday... A spun rod bearing. It happened right after i took it to a mechanic and he said it was alright to drive for a while hahahaha. so now im looking for a d16y7 w/ auto transmission
So I just bought this civic, and it turns out the person who owned it before me likes terrible sounds. He drilled holes into the muffler and several other spots on the piping. I welded the piping but I need a new muffler. Is there a kinda cheap one I can get put still gives it good sound?
PS: I...
If your talking about the cover not the bulb its self, rub motor oil on both sides, but not to much. Same thing happened to my '96 thunderbird and that cleared it up for about 6 months
