no, the R/S is not affected by a larger bore, increasing the bore and shortening the stroke would allow the engine to rev higher and still have the displacement that you want

thats why increasing the bore is detrimental

you need cams that support power higher then the current factory redline to facilitate the need for those my friend 8)
