Unless op is referring to a b18c. Lsv isn't stock aswell. Both engines built right should last, but keep in mind neither of the engines was meant to be reved to high heaven. Unless of course it was built to handle the situation.

Whatever brand the cams recommend. I would assume the skunk 2 cams are best used when complimented by skunk2 valve train.

You could also check local forums for slightly used ones for a fraction of the price of new ones

The most fun part of having the h22 is the torque. Also don't forget that the oil pan sits pretty low or at least it does on mine. The h series tranny also blows.
