    93 Del Sol Project

GSR has been mounted in the car. In the process of replacing the valve seals. What a pain in the ass job that is. By the sounds of it, during the winter might be doing a rebuild.. pistons, rods, port, deck, this could be interesting

2008 Civic SI 4 door Modding

Do a tune up to make sure engine is healthy. Then do CAI (I live in Manitoba cananda, my filter is 5" off the ground at most and I drive it thru snow, rain, anything) if you're that concerned about sucking something up get a hydro guard for like $30. Second Get an exhaust, it'll bolt up to your...

    Reputable Engine Swap Companies

Ya time is a big thing to make sure you have for the swap. Cuz no matter if it the engine runs when u pull it out or how easy it should be, problems always pop up.

    Reputable Engine Swap Companies

I've seen guys do engine swaps with 4 wheels and two scissor jacks. lol. Although I wouldn't recommend it. All you really need is a basic socket set, torque wrench (like $30 at princess auto) and a jack or two. For the most part with Honda's you use 8,10,12,14,17 for sizes. getting the engine...

    Reputable Engine Swap Companies

Save the money and do it yourself. It's a lot more rewarding when it fires up, and "building" a honda is like building with lego, engines and parts can swap from car to car really easily.

What says 255? Does it say how much space is used? Does the manual tell you what format it has to be in?

    I wanna tune my civic

It's been said before by others Fast, Reliable, Cheap > Pick two I'd leave a tune until last. Either swap or turbo or both. Then tune. (well you'll need either the correct ecu for the swap, then tune, or leave stock ecu, and chip that)

    prelude or si?

Depends what you want out of the car. Specs on each? Are some stick and some auto? Also, unless I'm greatly mistaken, I do believe Preludes are a lot heavier, part due to the H22 but also just in general heavier. Plus I also believe Civic's handle better.. I could be wrong on both tho.

    vtec wiring

a p28 is d16z6 ecu, which is also obd1. a d16y8 is obd2. So unless you have an obd1 car, and modified the harness on the engine to work with the obd1 car then that explains why it isn't working...

Has any one done the hondata reflash

Gas mileage went down cuz I was stomping on it to start with. But over the winter (yes I drive my si in the winter) I ran the Hondata Stock Tuned basemap (basically just eliminates rev hang and makes the most of the stock components) and gas mileage was basically the same as stock.

Has any one done the hondata reflash

I've got the actual FlashPro device and that's the way I'd recommend going. The reflash just does it once and you have to send them your ecu. It takes time shipping both ways. I'd recommend buying the FlashPro unit and you can immediately flash it with a basemap to get rid of rev hang. Then once...
