I stopped at the local honda dealershipand the parts counter guy went and got the master tech. and he is the one who told me that...then when I went to the junk yard, i asked the guy there and he said he didnt know...but he gave me a print outfrom the parts computer and the 5th gen dx was on...

Ok...I bent some valves when my timing belt snapped...I got a head off a d16b in the junk yard (i was told the d16 and d15 used the same head) Anyway....I am getting the head milled and pressure tested, other than the head gasket and exhaust manifold gasket...what else should I expect to need...

yes...when I took off the cap the center "button" was visibly broken off, constant pressure is applied to it by a small spring, that also was visible...because it had snapped off, the spring wasnt able to keep much tension...so the connection was weak.

check the distributor cap..my car was doing this too...this was what I posted when I found out what it was...it may not be your problem, but its a good place to start.

no, no and no...also, the engine will turn over faster...like there is no resistance..

My coil was under the dist cap...dont know bout a b16a though...mine is a d15b2 when my coil went, it died just like that too...no warning.

im not really that impressed...any RWD will do that in snow...My old Monty Carlo SS did that on dry pavement...
