I thought all K&N were oiled, guess that rules out the MAF idea.

Hi all,

About a week and half ago I finally sold my 00 EX cause I have a newborn and needed a more comfortable car with a/c and a safer ride so I got a good deal on an 07 Si couple in black. I'll post pics tomorrow.

I just got the car today in Michigan and drive it back to TN where I now live... what a sweet ride. It only had 57,500 miles. I was between buying this car and an 05 RSX-S and I made the right choice!

I have money left over from the loan I took out to buy the car so my plans are:
-Skunk2 Intake Manifold
-Skunk2 Throttle Body
-Injen SRI
-Yellow Fog Lights (HID). I have them but they're white...
-Wheel Locks. I've never needed them b4 so I've never bought them, any trusted brands?

And eventually put a great short shifter on it cause it seems like it takes forever to switch gears compared to my old civic. I've seen a few products in this category but after I buy the above I won't have enough to get it just yet.

As for the exhaust, I like the way it sounds as it is so I may not change it. Suspension, it feels comfortable (for now) compared to my old ride so I'll leave it as is for now too.

Any opinions and suggestions are welcomed.

Thanks!
It's an si, you have a great intake manifold, thats why rsx-s users like me put on a rbc from your car.
You can do just about anything to the car but when you start messing with tb's and manifolds you really need an engine management system to adjust the drastic increase in air. Do a race header instead, depending where you live, also i like the pulse plugs. As far as the short shifter goes i would not install the piece that messes with the side to side but install just the back and forth piece. Thats how most engines get blown by messing with the side to side, they speed shift into what they think is 4th.

WHat part are you talkng about, i assume the shifter.. On these newer cars they use cables to do the shifting, When you do a short shifter there are two pieces you replace. One shortens how close each gear is side by side, the other piece shortens the up and down. your old car was an actual rod that you replaced.
On my b16 ej1 it's a rod i replaced, on the rsx-s it's these little metal pieces. I only did the up and down motion on the rsx-s, not the side to side.

To help here is what a short shifter looks like for two of my cars. Only difference my B&M is black.

I got the TWM Performance short shifter. I don't think a $300+ short shifter is gonna make me shift into the wrong gear...

I'd say the main part of bad shifting is the idiot behind the wheel. It's a very well known issue with the K20, every stealership knows about and looks out for it. fact.

I agree zedious, it's the driver. Compared to my old ej8, I understand the new fg2 doesn't shift as fast (specially from 1st to 2nd, that and the ”too long” shift is why I bought the shifter). But it makes mOre power than my old car so I can afford to shift slower and still be quicker.... Btw, I don't race, I just drive fast when possible.

crash!

Avi, pull your socks up.

I took 10k loan, I had a little over 2k from selling my old car and used some of that (most of it) towards my new car... I have a job and a steady income so I'm ok... The b***h is gonna lose the baby, I caught her doing a porno! It's sad that she's a hoe but not all of them are wife material. I don't care, I'm getting my boy in time and he'll one day be into cars (hopefully).

After waiting 22 days, my TWM Short shifter arrived and I just installed it. Installation was a breeze with the included instructions and what an amazing upgrade! I had an ebay short shifter on my ek but this one is at another level... By far, money well spent.

My Tein s techs arrived too but I'm just gonna install them once I buy the camber kits and have money for the alignment.... Child support and lawyer fees are eating my paychecks but oh well...
