1993 Civic LX New guy!

Hey guys,

So I finally started looking at civic forums. I found this one since I was searching for sedan civic forums. I've always wanted to mod my 93 civic sedan, but wasn't to sure of going to the extremes such as under the hood mods. Any of you have suggestions of what I should be getting under the hood? Also, attached is my civic soon to be!

wats the budget you got to work with

Budget is key
Cheapest:
Stock engine with bolt ons(no performance)
shop around I/H/E can be had for about $300 or less for all 3

Moderate:
Vtec swap with bolt ons(some performance)
D16z6 or D16y8 swaps can be had for about $300-500 with transmission

Worth while:
BOOST with a good name brand turbo kit($1200+) or
Vtec swap with Vitara setup( Tuner Toys rods-$250 Vitara pistons-$100+ turbo kit)

Wild:
B or K series swap
Highly depends on what engine and combo you go with. Can be as cheap as a $400 LS swap to $5000 K swap
Search and you will find that the EG hatch is among a favorite to mod due to its lightweight and already being OBD-1 with hydro tranny. A sedan can be fun with some boost as I have been there before lol. Have fun and good luck
