1995 Civic EX stereo gone crazy?

I just changed the aftermarket stereo in my newly purchased ex...i got everything wired up and the stereo and ipod adapter were both working...i pushed my stereo into place and as it locked in the stereo kept flashing on and off and so did my gauges...my battery died...now my battery is fine but my stereo does not even power on and my clock resets every time i turn the car on...please help

theres a short somewhere, you knocked a wire loose when you pushed your radio all of the way in, sometimes you need to adjust where your wires, and plugs will lay when your installing the radio.

yup, might be short somewhere. you gota check all the wires..

yeah take your deck out and make sure all the connections behind it are all properly connected and working. then move the wires to a safe spot when you are putting the deck back in. maybe try and get a clip around your wires back there and clip in somewhere out of the way.
