1998 civic sludge in coolant??

Hello, im new here. I've bought a 1998 civic 1.5 vtec-e (d15z6), today i opened the radiator cap and noticed some weird looking sludges, might this be just old coolant or coolant mix/condensation, or something more seriuos like head gasket??? Car starts and runs fine, no overheating (at least from the temp gauge), no smoke, oil cap and oil dip stick looks fine.

It appears your car is far overdue for a coolant flush. There seems to be no foaming residue in your oil so a blown head gasket is unlikely. You should use a coolant system cleaner before flushing it all out.
