2000 civic si cooling fan question

my car doesnt overheat at all but the cooling fan never turns on. Any suggestions?

Civic fans don't run very often under normal conditions.

I would imagine that the fan would not run often in the Oregon climate, particularly if you live near the coast.

If you unplug the fan switch connector and short it with a jumper wire, does the fan run?

Have you tried bleeding the cooling system? Have you tested the switch?

i dont know how to jumper wire it but i have replaced the thermostat and bled the system

Unplug the 2P connector and short the two terminals of the wire harness connector with a paper clip or wire.

Did you turn the key to ON(II)?

yeah i even let it warm up a little bit...

Check whether 20A hood fuse 57 or 7.5A dash fuse 17 is blown.

ok i checked the fuses they all looked good but i switched them around anyway and still have no fan

Wire power and ground from the battery directly to the fan 2P connector to see whether it runs.
