Let the fun begin! I picked up a 2003 civic 1.7L 5 speed that needs the engine replaced. I enjoy working on cars with in reason or should I say my ablity. I have replaced engines before but many years ago. so, before I screw things up I wanted to get some info from the masters.
I have heard pro's and cons about dropping the engine out the bottom vs pulling out the top. personally with my limited knowledge base combined with my previous experience of pulling engines out the top, I feeling more comfortable pulling it out the top.
Question: Can I pull the engine without pulling the trans?
Question: If above is possible will I have to drop the trans to do that?
