2004 Civic Hybrid needs new battery. Worth it?

In late 2014, I bought a used 2004 Civic Hybrid for $3500 (which was average according to KBB). It's run fairly well. But the IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) light came on around September of last year. The dealer said it would be about $5000 to repair.

Recently, we went to another place who said they could replace the battery for $2600. Also, yesterday the EPS (Electronic Power Steering) light came on, though I don't notice it driving any different.

Was wondering your opinion on whether or not I should replace the battery. I've already put a lot of money into the car (almost $2000 in various repairs). Now they need another $2600 to fix the car. The value of the car has plummeted, as kbb says the car is worth $2400 to $2700 now (and that's for a car that doesn't need a battery).

Seems to me that the car isn't worth repairing and I should basically drive it until it dies, then get rid of it at a salvage yard. Any reason I should actually repair the car and keep it?
