FIXED THE PROBLEM!! we finally found a fuel pressure tester we could rent instead of buying one for 280 bucks, only one shop around here well about 40 min. away had one to rent. tested the pressure at the fuel filter and it was at about 5, then tested it at the pump and still got 5. so the pump was priming but could not put out nearly enough psi, swapped the pump for a new one and did the truck the spare i have only does about 15 so that ones garbage too! thanks for all the help guys hope this thread is helpful to anyone out there that has the same problem!! thanks everyone!
