Amp Hookup to door and rear deck speakers?

Ok, so i dont have the money for a system upgrade atm, but my door and rear deck speakers are running plastic cone pioneers. i have an extra 200 watt max 4 channel amp laying around that works. my question is, basically how to hook it up to the door and deck speakers to make them louder. is it the same as runnin subs to an amp, or is there a different hookup procedure? i was thinkin just run the speakers directly to the amp, and run the component (rca) cables from the radio to the amp. in all theory this should work, but dont wanna do that work and it not play at all. thanks for any help

you would have to hook up the amp the same as a sub. Rca, remote turn on, power, ground. You would then just run the wires to each speaker through the car. Hopefully that makes sense
