I need to confirm what type of plug was used from the factory for the primary oxygen sensor.

Is the plug male or female on the wire harness side? (NOT the oxygen sensor itself).

Thanks for anyone willing to check.

I saw your post on H-T, but I'll reply here as well for others who may need to know.


The pins are part of the sensor plug, not part of the car side. It may look like its a male harness, because it plugs "into" the sensor, but the pins are on the sensor side.

Im actually at the 02 sensor right now (haha)...I have 2 for sale if anyone wants them.

me thinks the upstream o2 harness is female... but then again im just taking a guess with a 50% chance of getting it right :lol:

there is a sub-harness between the chassis harness and the o2 sensor

your both wrong. Anyhow, I'm just going to get the y8 oxygen sensor since the tech said they're all pretty much the same.

Didn't get to it yesteday, we went to the state fair instead. I'll look araound today after doing a brake job on my 04 sedan
