Best way to lower my Civic LX?

I was wonder what was the best way to slightly lower my 2005 honda civic lx (an inch and a half or so)... I've heard arguments on both coil-overs and springs but I've never lowered a car before so I am uncertain of which to go with. I live in NH so it would be nice to be able to raise it in the winter but it isn't a must. What are your opinions? Thank you!!

if you're only wanting to lower about 1-1.5" go with aftermarket struts and springs. you will not have adjustability but only lowering an inch or so, your car won't be bad in the winter.

i use to DD an EG hatch lowered about 3" in Ohio winter.

i would suggest Koni struts (STR.T/Orange) with Eibach Sportlines or Prokit.

I agree with andrewthesith. Definitely stay away from hacking up the springs.

Eibach lowering spring would surely be a good brand to use to lower your suspension safe and comfortably.
