Bogging issue..

Hey guys, i have a 98 civic si with a B16a swap and once and a while my car decides to sound like it's only firing one or two cylinders and I have no power and backfires a lot if I hold the throttle steady but if I punch the throttle to the floor it sputters a bit then revs right up and bounces the rev limiter and its fine for a while, I have no idea what this is but any help would be awesome!!

My first though is TPS, but with such little info on the vehicle there is no sure way to know.

No engine light and I even made sure the bulb works, when I turn my key on it cycles on then off so I know it works, what else do you need to know?

Recent maintenance?

Running appropriate ecu/fuel map?

Always done this or is it a recent development?

Its bone stock b16a never been touched so it should all be fine for this motor the ecu came with the motor its a p2p

Maintenance is always done regularly

Done it since I bought the car. The guy before me said never had an issue with anything but you know how people are these days
