if you have to ask this question then you deffinatly shouldnt attempt it without more research.
not being a d**k just saying.
but yes it will go in there.
like redline said its gonna be a pain in the ass and its not worth the price imo

Just to mount the engine is a decent amount of cutting and welding or bolting depending on the mounts and your approach.
Also, you'll have to figure out what you are going to do with converting mechanical systems into electrical systems such as the speedo system (you have a cable, the K20 has a speed sensor).

do yall know how bad ass this would be....a k20 in a 88 hatch that would stuiped fast or scary fast...i would like to see in myself. if this guys say it can be done. hell do it

You can do what I did. I dropped in a B18. Bore it 20 over, shave the head, and port and polish the head. You wouldn't believe how much that can wake up an engine even though it only goes from a 1.8L to a 1.9L. The compression goes up a few notches though.
