Clacking upon startup

2007 Civic Si, when the car fires up from a cold start it makes a clacking noise that revs up then goes away completely. Only lasts a second or two but is getting louder. Like it's not getting oil right away. Or like the lifters need adjustment? Any ideas?
Thanks

Does you engine use a timing chain? If its a bit loose would that cause clacking until it gets well oiled?
Your valve lash is manually adjusted correct? If so it shouldn't go away after just a few seconds.
How long since your last oil change? Any correlation with that? Could be a bad adbv letting all the oil back to the pan so your valvetrain is starting dry every time.

Do you change your own oil? Cheap oil filters have been known to cause that also. Could also be the timing (if applicable) like dancam said

Clanking sound may be coming from the valves. What type of oil are you using? Using thicker oil may solve your problem.

Lost motion assembly perhaps? At least I know that made noise on my B16A motor until I swapped it out.
