cost of engine swap

im thinking about swapping my stock d16y8 in my 98 ej8 for a b16a2. roughly how much would the installation cost including taking out the old engine and putting in the new one with its transmission and ecu?

depends on how much the swap is and whats included. you need 2 different mounts, axles, shift linkage, header and a couple other things.

try to get a complete swap so you dont have to spend extra money on s**t

Depends how much the motor costs you are buying, and depends who doing the swap? If you are going to do it yourself you are gonna save a few hundred. If your paying a shop to do it then... Enjoy getting raped unless you know someone personally. May run you anywhere from under a grand to over 3grand ive heard. So enjoy make sure you search these forums, google or what have you. Since search bar is so handy get your information before you do whatever you plan on doing.
