    Compression test the cylinders.

Wouldn't compression effect more than one or two cylinders?

Your engine can lose compression in 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 cylinders.

I'm only asking because I don't know. How would this cause a misfire?

A working cylinder absolutely requires compression to exert force on the piston.

    Get a cylinder compression tester.

If it happens to be the cylinder, what is there that can be done? With a motor with close to 300xxx I can't see rebuilding it.

Don't get ahead of yourself. Diagnose and then discuss options.

Ok. I only see one more test that canbe done and that is compression.

What test did you do on injector #4?

Have you checked for bright spark at #4 plug?

    Are CEL codes thrown?

I pulled the injector plugs to check for change in idle as well as plug wires. Checked the resistance in injector wires all are at 13.5. Its blowing a lot of white smoke from the tail pipe which I'm assuming is fuel that isn't being burnt. Number 4 plug was the worst with a little burnt oil when I changed them.

Check for spark at the plug and for fuel spray from the injector. If both are fine, compression test the cylinders.

    CEL codes?

Cel codes. Misfire on cylinder 4 and 2 and random misfire. I've checked for spark at the wires. All spark except for 4.

So, do you think no spark at plug 4 is relevant?

And you didn't think mention of misfire in cyl 2 and random misfire was also relevant?

Misunderstanding. I assumed that cylinder misfire would cause it not to spark. And I checked #2 plug and it seemed to be firing fine. Didn't think it was important.

The new information should have been included in the first post. Is there any more potentially relevant information that you haven't shared?

Can I assume that the engine runs?
