D16y7 swap to d15b

I have a d16y7 that is shot out. I want to install a d15b dual vtec obd2 but my question is will that engine work with my stock tranny? My trans is an automatic. I have seen the ecu for the vtec engine with auto trans but I want to know if it's compatible with my existing tranny?
