damn.....cowl!

any one with 8th gen (06-11) civic model not annoyed by the clumsy and cheap design windshield cowl? i've gone thru 2 already and it keeps coming loose and breaking by making contact with the wiper arms. what would be my major concern if i remove it permanently? btw i have an 06 model.

dont have any pics. but if you're familiar with these models is on the top front of hood. is a 3 piece cowl.

I just googled some pictures... it looks like a one piece cowl to me?

Ah, I wasn't ware those ends were considered part of the cowl.

My RSX currently has an issue similar, but it's with the arms themselves. Basically it's a little plastic washer thing that wore out and allowed for the arms to move a bit more. So they smack the cowl and the A pillar. I wonder if your car has the same issue? Do the wipers seem to be hitting the A pillars at all on either side?
