Hi everyone! It has been awhile since I drove my civic because I let it sit over the winter because the alternator seized up. I bought the new alternator but I haven't installed it yet. Does the alternator need to be installed in order to have power inside the car such as the dome light? I have NO power anywhere! No dome light, no lights on the dash when the key is turned-NOTHING!! The battery is fully charged and the posts are very clean. I checked all fuses except the weird looking ones in the box under the hood and they were good. Could it be one of those square looking ones? How do I check those? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thankyou
