ECU Chips

I have a chip from a P28 ECU that was in my old EM1. Its still good, but my buddy wants it for his car. He has an LS motor as of now.

My question is, can/will my p28 chip work in his ECU? And if so, will he need a tune?

Simply put, no. Which is why obd2 sucks the goat

EDIT: I should mention that he could get an obd2 to obd1 jumper harness and then he can run chipped obd1 ecu's all day. But you can not chip an obd2
