Sparco Hood pins

Plan for the next week is to DIY my headlights and convert them into black housing ones, then install the fog lights I bought, as well as paint the valve cover the same purple as the car.

BTW to anyone looking into what oil to run in their civic. ENEOS is the best. Just changing to it made the car run a thousand times smoother! Hopefully it will not burn like the mineral oil does when you start closing in on the 7000rpm's.

Anyways the point was if anyone had any other input into the car. Here is my list for future modifications.
EK Ferio style carbon fiber wing. (Google it)
Drilled and Slotted rotors / Better brake pads
Sparco seats and harnesses

What else? I don't want a turbo or an engine swap. Personally I think their pointless. If you want a fast car, buy a fast car. If you want a quick, agile fun car... buy a civic =D

I am sure someone will point it out but EK's are only hatchbacks. you just have an EJ. anyways it looks really nice and looks well taken care of.

any plans for the future?

i would say maybe paint the valve cover. leaving the raised lettering unpainted.

if u find yourself with an excess of time you could try to tuck some of the wires into the fenders.

maybe retrofit some projectors with HID bulbs into your oem headlights if u have that kind of money.

I suppose some could make the same argument about some of your mods too.
Some listed under engine performance, wouldn't be actual performance enhancing.

I'd rather have a stock looking Civic, spend the money on a GSR powerplant in it instead of wasting money on reservoir covers, battery tie downs, colored oil caps, hood pins, pedals, and racing seats/harness.

My point being, you consider an engine swap pointless, but you have and want to add all these items associated with fast cars, seems a bit hypocritical. You don't actually want to be "fast" ,but you'll spend the money to put the stuff on your car.
ie: Sparco race seats and harness, Stage 2 clutch, drilled and slotted rotors, hood pins, etc.
:what:
That's how I read into it.

Shift before 7k, it's a 100whp single cam, not a race car.

If you want a fast car, buy a fast car.
Fast is relative, but you can buy or BUILD one. Building one right is NOT cheap though.

nothing constructive to say? i doubt he cares what your opinion on forced induction on his car is. i did not see the topic being "what do u think about turbocharging"

he was only looking for suggestions to other mods people had. not arguments to things he doesn't want to do.

my point being your post is completely worthless and i wonder why u even submitted it.

anyways back on topic.

maybe some of those rain visors for the windows.

supertones perhaps? i see them a lot on subies

I can apply that to your reply as well.:???:

Basically trying to understand the OP train of thought, it seems almost backwards.
Have all these extras and add ons, but is against a motor swap.
Sorry, I'm not here to please you.

calm down guys! lol i guess what i was trying to say is I don't like turbo's. just a personal preference. However I have been looking more and more into a Jackson Racing Supercharger. The car is a DD, so its main purpose is to get me places. however on the weekends, since i live about 10 minutes from the Las Vegas Motor Speedway it's other purpose is to go like hell on a road course on track days. Hence the reason for me not liking turbos but liking superchargers. Plus I just like the fact of being able to beat someone around a track and have them ask what engine I have in it and being able to tell them it's the engine that came with the car, i just drive better than you lol.

Alright, I see, it makes a little more sense now.
That's what nice about the road coarse/auto-x, you don't need ton of HP to compete and have fun, you do need good brakes and suspension.:thumbs up

It's true that this car is an EJ but EKs are not only hatchbacks. Sedans were EKs as well.

Painted my valve cover today to match the car. Unfortunately when I was tightening a VC bolt it snapped off inside the stud. freaked out because everything i read said I had to drill it and use a reverse bit to get it out, but if you can't get it out you have to replace the whole part. Took it to my brother in laws house who's the head mechanic at the family shop and he got it out with a flathead screwdriver then laughed at me. lol. Waiting for the new one from honda. VC looks great though! just have to shave off the paint where the honda emblem is. Tomorrow i'm installing fog lights. Having a hard time finding a write up on the wiring because they plug into the stock wiring harness, unlike the ebay ones.
