Engine Code Help

Hello,

Followed instructions on a previous thread on how to read engine codes by bridging the two-pin connector under the passenger side kick panel.
Seems I don't get a blinking pattern when the connector is bridged... any idea what that could mean?

Thanks a ton,
- Richard

If it's not blinking, either you don't have a code, or it's not jumped correctly.

With the key off, jump the blue connector, then turn the key to ON-II.

Hey,

I have it bridged properly and still no blinking sequence. The CEL came on yesterday after work and remains on still.
Any other reason it could be this way? Possibly a fuse or..

Thanks,

Make sure the wire is fully inserted in each end.

Or, since your car is OBDII, just go get a code reader from Advance Auto or something (they will let you borrow theirs) and just plug it in and pull the code. Probably your best bet rather than troubleshooting something to help you troubleshoot something else lol.
