Hi guys,

I have a 1996 Civic coupe 5sp. with a D16Y8 engine in it and i think the head is cracked or the block warped on it.
I just bought a 1998 CRV with a B20B it's an Automatic.
Should i drop the B20B in my civic or just get the D16 fixed?
What's the different between them?
I thinking on turbo the car anyway should i go with the B20 or D16 ?
Is it a pain to do swap or just plug and play?
Please i need help now........ cheers guys :like:

Everything you're asking has been repeatedly covered and documented in much detail. Therefore, if you "need help now" then begin researching all that available information. Engine swaps are nothing to be done hastily if you want it done properly. I found these two helpful links quickly using Google.

FYI, it would likely be more cost effective to buy another D16Y8 than to repair yours if the damage is severe.

@L!r0N, I removed your other thread you started today as it is exactly the same questions you posted here.

Perhaps no one else replied because they felt my response was all you needed to hear, which is to research and read those links. "Everything you're asking has been repeatedly covered and documented in much detail." Its unfair to ask others to do what you should do which is look up the info. Take no offense as I'm only being honest.
