so i got the stock d16 in it wanting more power got a cold air headers and power one duels better plug wires and just put e3 plugs in it. ok so when i really hammer on it when i shift to 3rd it doesn't really grind but it dose just for a quick second loose link-edge maybe idk second once again when i hammer on it when i do shift gears in high rpms it doesn't really chug but almost like my foot double taps the gas a little bit. should i just get a diff motor and if i should what should i get b16? b18? if any one could help me out or if its normal plz let me know its my first vehicle other than gm made. thanks guys. oh yea its a 99 civic ex

what is your budget, power goals, mechanical knowledge we need to know all of that before recomeding anything.
Also is this car your dd, because if so you might not want to swap it since it will be down for a little while.

well im in the navy so i will be gone for months at a time but for now it is my dd. but my wife has a 07 grand prix i could drive as she is a stay at home mom. budget don't really have one i was thinking building a motor piece by piece its just all up in the air rite now i would love to have it boosted and race ready but still be street legal..barely i was told that it was already with just the stuff i have in it now and how loud it is in va but i have michagan plates on it so i dont have to get a inspection so i dont have to worry bout the laws here.
