Ground wire help....

Hi, need some help....I found a short ground wire that is connected to a screw above the thermostat housing on the left hand side of the motor....can anyone tell me where the other end goes? =) thanks

i believe it goes on the frame directly in front of it next to the radiator or below the fuse box.

I am not sure how a ground works. The connected side of the ground is currently connected right above the theromostat housing under the air box system. Do you know what this ground is actually grounding?
