Hello just wanted to see if anyone had any information I could work with.
Car is 03 civic ex with aftermarket alarm Omega AL-100-H. So problem is my ignition lock seized and so I got someone to fix it and made me new key (other was worn) with same cut and put old chip in new key. So it worked at first. I then closed the door with the key and the alarm activated so just to try it, I pressed unlock on my remote and nothing happens (no unlock no disable alarm) and when I insert key in ignition with alarm going haywire it doesn't even make attempt to read key (green key light doesn't appear) so I cannot use car.
I tried replacing remote battery, unplugging ignition lock connectors and retrying keyless entry remote and I found that if I only disconnect the cable shown in picture my remote works and I can disable/enable alarm and unlock/lock doors. However I have to reconnect plug to start car.
So I do not understand what is wrong as the wiring has not changed etc. since my alarm/keyless everything worked before and it is same ignition lock/chip.
Any information greatly appreciated.
