Head Gasket/Cylinder Block

Hi,

Take a look at these pics. And look closely at the cylinder blocks at the cracks. Does that mean I need a new engine? or can that be skim?

My car is a 1998 Honda Civic Hatchback EK. Had an overheating problem where the car would like shut down at stop lights at random times. Also, if I go 5 places for the day when I am at the 5th place the car would like not start and I would have to wait like 1 hour then I can start it up.

If you overheated it to the point of it shutting down, the engine is f**ked. Replace it and next time might want to fix the overheating problem instead of killing it. What a waste of money. Simple fix would have saved you hundreds to thousands depending on who or where you have it replaced.

Lesson: don't keep driving when it starts to overheat.
